Alumni - Natalie Wenzel

Hey  everyone, this year the LAMPE program is going to have a new blog written from the perspective of a LAMPE alumni, updated every month. My name is Natalie, and I will be writing as many helpful entries as I can. In this blog I will be covering:
-

-My time with the LAMPE program
-Helpful tips for applying to college
-How LAMPE has helped me in college
-And other helpful college tips (how to stay organized, coping with the changes, getting involved, etc.)
(DRob asked me to do an introduction of myself on the first blog, so here it goes)
My name is Natalie Wenzel, and I graduated with the class of 2015. While at LnHS, I was involved in: the LAMPE program, the robotics team, speech & poetry club, link crew, CSF, and drama/creative writing classes. It was pretty dang hectic, but a lot of fun once I learned how to manage my time. I like cats, video games, baking, rap music (yeezus, whom DROb hates apparently), and graphic design.
I deeply miss being involved in LAMPE, and I hope everyone in the program right now gets the most out of it. It’s pretty cool.
If you have any specific questions/topics you would like to hear about you can email me at nataliealiealie@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to get back to you as soon as I can.

Students are getting ahead this summer by taking Health.

This is a great benefit to the students because now they get 2 electives during their sophomore year, instead of 1.  An elective for LAMPE and an elective for Foreign Language.

How did you spend your summer?

Ice Cream Social

Mary, a year 3 lampe student, helps make rootbeer floats for the incoming freshman lampe students, during summer school lunch time.

Summer School is a great time for incoming freshman to get familiar to the high school campus and culture.

Rootbeer floats just makes it that much easier.

I anticipate this school year being full of fun activities so please check this page often, to stay updated on all of your LAMPE news. I hope all of you have a wonderful year, and again, welcome to the LAMPE family.
