Author and Actress, Lee Kessler, spoke to the students in Ms Banks' English Honors classes.  the students wrote letters to Ms Kessler inviting her to visit and she was able to travel to LnHS to speak directly with the students.

The mentors from NASA stopped by to assist with setting up the Simulator that will be used on the Unmanned Autonomous System project.  The students on the Flight Ops team are now practicing flying on the Simulator.

Alumni Ian Blake (class of 2012) brought in his film equipment and gave the Multimedia students a few lessons in Filmmaking and Camera tips and tricks.  Ian is currently Camera #2 on a commercial production.

LAMPE wins 2nd Place

LAMPE competed in the Linked Learning Showcase and came in 2nd place, out of 70 entries.  Shelly and Caitlyn presented the bridge project that the IED classes worked on this year.  They did an excellent job fielding questions from the audience and presenting their project.

SkillsUSA Gold and Silver

LAMPE students Ethan Molero and Brandon Elkins (above) won Gold in 3D Visualization and Animation at the SkillsUSA regional competition, this past weekend.

Cameron Berckes and Tony Maida also won Silver for 3D Visualization and Animation, and Tatiana Lexin won Silver for CO2 Dragsters Engineering Design.

Congratulations to all of the students that placed and advanced to the State competition in San Diego.
